'The Silk Road is a great opportunity to strengthen the relationship between China and Iran, and we can expand relations in various fields of politics, culture, arts, economics and business,' said Jung E ling in an interview with IRNA on Tuesday.
'In this situation that both countries bear a lot of pressure, we can have peaceful cooperation based on mutual interests in the Silk Road Terrestrial and offshore sectors.'
'We want to develop ties in peace with Silk Road in cooperation with Iran. Communication and exchanges are important for both countries. The more mutual relations between the two countries, the more they learn each other.' said the head of the Beijing University of Architecture.
Jung E ling added: 'China and Iran are very civilized, ancient, and have long and historic relations, and, based on this old infrastructure, can expand relations in any field.'
